Night and Day

6/29/17

Woke up, jumped out of bed right away
Quickly noticing the whole entire sky was grey

Went to put in work, so I'd get paid
Out among the pines and sage
Certain things, I couldn't help but find as strange

Like how so many would sign away
Their own soul, near and far from any ice or clay

If you got nothing nice to say
Keep it to yourself, or there will be a price to pay

Let me ask you this, why complain?
If you never tried, during the night and day
Open up your mind and brain
Don't just try to play
Like life's a game

Whether it was in the light or shade
Do you have any idea how many lives were slain
So many of which that died in vain

Regardless of if the so-called 'times have changed'
It goes for all, no matter the kind of trade

Occasional flights delayed
Meanwhile times of peace and crisis came
