Night

With a wave of her cloak
The dark lady of night
Bids good-bye to the setting sun
Whose weary eyes close
And like a sinking jewel of crimson
Lays down its burnished head
Onto the trembling sea

Superb writing with rich metaphors and vivid personifications. Lots of creativity and imagination in this masterpiece. A splendid read by the fire place, with a glass of vintage brandy. Poem sings out loud, with resonance. Keep sharing.

Very nice storytelling in this work of art. Nice stuff! Poem is full of vivid imagery. Choice of words are the key. Indeed, I like the way, you paint with words. This poem possesses a soul. Keep sharing

Your words seem to come alive for the reader. I love these one verse writes as they seem to encapsulate an entire meaning and scene. Excellent again. Michael
