Next Generation
He lived, expressed, and passed on what he knew.
It did not always taste good nor was it easy to chew.
Perhaps his father also had hard-to-express emotions
That remained inside him, filled with questions.
Much of his DNA is within me that will not change;
But there were other things I managed to rearrange.
"Like father like son" need not be completely true.
Some of our ways can change if only just a few.
When awareness like a light bulb electrifies your life
And reveals so much more than a little advice, may it
Capture your attention with full devotion, inspiring you
To leave a legacy and pass it on to the next generation.
