Next Door
Next Door
Next door looks better
They never argue shout or scream
Their grass is neat and tidy
On Sundays, tea and ice cream
Next door looks happier
They seem to smile a lot
His wife looks pretty
I’m sure they haven’t lost the plot
Next door seems happy
Though the kids look down
Kissed their mother goodbye
She gave them a charcoal frown
Next door seems to be quiet
Only an occasional door slam
She hides her face now
Eyes as red as fresh ham
Next door looks busy
Men enter in white plastic
They take away long boxes
The situation looks drastic
New couple next door
Unaware of the evil past
I like the look of her smiles
the lady who died was downcast
Next to you is next door
It could be in your life
A woman’s cry in the night
I hope that’s not your wife?
