Newly Found Pain

It was less of a revelation. 

And more of a devastation. 

As new waves of doubt…

Of a certain future that I had just found out. 

That used to be at least uncertain.

But now I see the open curtain. 

That reveals more people like me. 

Who are older and less free. 

If only I could invoke. 

Words I was never able to spoke. 

But maybe as I dive into a future of pain. 

I will find guardians that do not think an investment in me is vain.
