Newborn Loggerhead

 Tiny sea turtle; creeps its way across white beach sands to sea.
Newly hatched reptile, learning to swim into his new life; he’s free.
One day, he will grow into a very fine loggerhead.

I've seen many PBS tv shows showing the life of the sea turtles. It's amazing to watch them crawl out of their sand covered nests and scramble slowly to the sea. Nature is amazing and these creatures are too... nicely written sijo !!

I remember reading some story about these and how some people were trying to preserve them on a beach. such a wonderful part of nature, and a great theme for your sijo.

The eggs get eaten by raccoons or other vermints I imagine. When the eggs hatch yeah. Are they than caught for food and shell and so on by fisherman? Excellent sijo. I need to find out what I can do to help.
