as a new yorker, i have to say that most people i see do wear masks and practice social distancing pretty well. sadly, it's the poorer people who live in very cramped apartments and have to take the subways to work who are succumbing the most to the virus. i am hunkered down (except for a very early morning walk when streets are empty) and stay in my apartment...
