New Year's Girl

Through it all, we've found each other
Like a brother from another mother
We've grown so close together
You smother me with the warmth of your heart
From the very start, underneath the rainbow fireworks
Your slight smirk set off a fire inside of me
In light of being free, your eyes sink deep into me
Your lips speak with a language so foreign to me
Yet I understand, your body is the master plan
For the future masterpiece, which hopefully includes me
And a baby version of me, well, us
The love that consumes us begins to work its charm
A little spark in the night, we'll never disperse
Such as the magic of January 1st
