New Years Eve

New Years Eve celebration
Ever so grateful of redemption
With overindulgence of consumption

Year-end celebrating
Edibles I've been craving
Aha so much champagne drinking
Recoup from stomach bloating
Swaying, light-headed teetering

Eek nightcaps of antacid
Verily, not so lucid
Eau de mornings, feeling putrid

Hello Connie, I'm glad them days are behind me. I'm not the kind of gal who will end and celebrate. I like keeping myself all slumber_ed up.... nice little acrostic... xox~PD

This was just for the poem. My husband and I have been married 46 years and have never went to a New Year's Eve Party. A glass of wine and a home made dinner, then waiting for the ball to drop in my pjs. Nice having you back., Warm Smiles Always, Connie
