New Years Day
Nice batch of fallen snow
Ending the year with a glow;
While it is slowly melting,
Your smile is glistening;
Expectations are higher
All around us, faces brighter;
Resolutions made this day
Strong will last, or fade away?
Dreams and goals are renewed
As we celebrate this prelude;
Yesterday gone, the future is today.
