New Year
NEW YEAR

Now we come to a rapid end
Time to watch the old one disappear.
Everyone looks anxiously ahead.
Is there in a few any fear?
Where did the current year so speedily flee?
It seems to have just begun.
Youth seems to vanish
As we continue to age.
Evenings are so distant
As we the future gauge.
Are we to continue as we have in the past?
Will current enjoyments abide?
Remember that only one year before
We all did herein reside.
