New Year 2015

The dawn of a New Year Another time to meet head on, Is this a good omen or do I fear Now my youth has long gone, Ablaze within the power shone. Yet I see a light bestirring Amongst the doom and gloom, Freedom of one’s pen columnist averring When of weaving the literary loom, Idealistic sweeps the new broom. © Harry J Horsman 2015

Harry my friend I do like this one, especially the line "Now my youth has long gone", it is a very well written Quintain, I know it is a bit late but I do hope you had a good start to the new year so enjoy the rest of it, take care............Vera............

This is wonderful! The last line is simply amazing. Even though you matured I hope the child is still alive in you.

Solace of the simplest pen. Can restore a soul again. When evening's dimmed before the dawn. Our own insight can carry us on. May God's peace be with you this year Harry. Peace. :)

Excellent powerful poem for the matured. Here a great philosophy is hidden of different ages where year after year are concerned. The new matures when old age is reached and all new are like that. A nice effective revolving cycle you have shown clearly. A great philosopher you are. Loved always, my lovely friend,bl
