New Sunny Day

You weren’t true to me
What did you do to me
I’m feeling all empty inside

A poor soul on the run
And I’m coming undone
I can’t cross this river I cried

You played it real cool
As I played the fool
Trading my love for your lust

You ripped out my heart
You tore it apart
And trampled all over my trust

You take pleasure in pain
And you make love in vain
Your eyes they look so far away

It’s over it’s done
We had our day in the sun
Now I wait for a new sunny day
