New poets is who we are
Of course we are not afraid
Unsure of our welcome? we are not
Very welcome you’ve made us feel
Every one of you has
Unconditionally opened their arms
Xtremely glad we all are

Fields so green
Roll into the horizon
Indeed this land of poetry soup
Energizes us daily
New poets get a chance to
Discover more spoken words
Spoken by these poets of ‘old’

Lips curve into a smile
Over this poem am reading now
Very touching the other one was
End is here and all too soon
Rich and appetizing this soup is
So my health is safe and my heart content

Old is gold so mama said
Fall we will if we listen not
Poets, ‘new’ blood will learn a lot
Only if the old open and allow
Entry to this…
Their domain, for poetry soup
Replenishes our minds and souls and
Yes we thank you poets of ‘’old’, u are gold.
