New Days Will Dawn

I tried to smile, I really did
Could only smirk, just like a kid
So if you look, to not see a smile
Inside am doing it, all the while

As I am blessed, with kids that love
Feelings that keep me, high above
But a partner there, that's always true
Can run around, and leave me blue

I fought for love, and won the fight
But with partner wrong, to have no right
I always carry this, and try to move on
I know that soon, new days will dawn
