New Day New Beginning

New day new beginning

When the clouds up high
Blot out the sky
And the sun is far away
Birds stretch their wings
And start to sing
Thankful for another day

When all seems lost
The ground is frost
And it’s hard just to carry on
They whether the storm
And greet each morn
With a brand-new cheery song

When the lightning flashes
And the thunder crashes
Through the whoosh that the cold winds bring
When the trees stand bare
And there’s snow in the air
The birds still gather and sing

They care not for tomorrow’s
That bring many sorrows
Or the yesterday’s now that have gone
Birds start every day
Chirping away
Happy to sing a new song
