New Breath into the World

Breath into heaven’s gaze,
Gifted upon her sky.
Looking down, heart amaze,
Tethered to, set to cry.

Tears of joy, sorrow too,
All must fall; loves release.
Her embrace speaks her truth,
More love’s a heart of peace.

From her lip, quiet sigh,
Breath of life, never cease.

A concise articulation of Mother, Kathryn. Your rhymes are neat with excellent concluding two lines. Well done in the Contest with this three stanza gem. Sending blessings.

Congratulations on your second-place win, Kathryn. You successfully continued the theme of your evocative title in your poem, culminating in the final line: ‘From her lip, quiet sigh, / Breath of life, never cease.’ Welcome to PoetySoup and I am looking forward to read more from your pen. ~Su
