Notes About The Poem

The picture is very apt as one of the reasons I left is because I was having terrible issues with my throat and voice

New Beginnings

My work at school ended yesterday
And my heart is still so heavy and sad
Out of necessity I went on my way 
So it is a positive step, it’s not bad
My health has suffered quite recently
And my joie de vivre was all but gone
But I inspired students to write poetry
My own creativity will now spur me on
I plan to write a humourous book
Filled with funny poem’s that I’ve written
When it’s published I hope that you’ll have a look
I’ve got the writing bug  - I really am smitten!
