New Beginnings

The leaves have fallen
The weather has turned cool
A fresh start for everything
Even me and you

Last season was hard
Full of desperation and despair
Loneliness
That made me question if you were even out there

It is scary
Not knowing what will or won't be
But as I stand next to you on this cool autumn night
I am grateful that I have you beside me

You help me forget the past
The dreadful winter I once had
When all I ever felt was alone
Being with you brings me peace
You feel like home

The leaves have fallen
The weather has turned cool
And as I look into your eyes tonight
I now know
It was always meant to be you

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to PS. Likewise I welcome you with the love of God and with the God Who authors new beginnings. According to the Bible's John 3:16,"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
