New Beginnings

Newborn neatly fits into this role,

Epitome of noisy and new!

Without much ambition, just a goal -

Being fed and rocked, to name a few.

Exit and entry, baby's first "must",

Going through A-maze of being born.

Inside out and here's the world at last,

No way back, you ought to carry on.

Nothing's nicer than float carefree,

Infantry's indeed least stressful stage.

Not for long, time flies by fast, sweet pea,

Getting born now means coming of age.

So many more beginnings you will be!

Heya Margarita, your poem captures the carefree nascency of life, whilst pointing out gently the inexorable changes ahead, but in a matter of fact way which I really like, this style works so well, best wishes in the contest, cheers David
