Nevermore
I’m tickled pink
I’m elated with joy
My love, true love, has said YES to me once more
Yes to the passion
Yes to the eye jumping when we have been amidst
Yes to the heart pounding as we seal a kiss
Alas, so said, but this is not true
He has left me…gone
I feel joy nevermore more
My heart skips many beats
It is tattered & torn
My mind finds no rest
It is scattered and scorn
I know, I know
Neither am I the first
And I shan’t be the last
I know, I know
How he felt to lamented “Lanore”
Oh that damn raven, replied “Nevermore”
It hurts, it hurts, and it hurts even more
It hurts, it hurts and I can’t take it any more
I think I’ll surrender
I know that I’ll succumb
I feel torn asunder
With my heart wrapped in plastic and sealed with taped
A brick with chain to the outer to seal it fate
