Never Will Time
Every moment with you I spend,
My heart pleads with Time to a stop
—Which for once it never learned
To be kind enough to give itself up.
Yet Time, no matter how long may live,
Can never outlive your love in me!
Every minute in your eyes I stare,
My tears at the mercy of Time flow;
If only you would forever remain here,
Never to leave me, nor see me go.
Yet Time, no matter how fast it rolls,
Will never defeat my love and me!
