Never Walk Alone

Never walk alone.

when shadows cross through the lamp light and darkness is an echo in the park;

when footsteps are closely behind you and in the distance you hear the devil's dog bark;

when you realise that you're alone now but still you feel eyes staring at you from the deepest black dark;

when imagination starts to play tricks on you and your mind races and you're falling apart;

when you see you know you are safe now and the light is growing far from whence you passed;

then the devil comes to take you and rip your soul from your still beating heart.
