Never Thought Id Say This...........
Love of my life
Apple of my eye
Queen of my heart
Had hopes that you'd be my wife
By my side
But it seems we must part
God forbidden
Truth hidden
With good intentions
But doesn't sooth my inflictions
Knowin I must move on with you missin
I'm torn between two extremes
It seems
I want you to be free
But the other wants you with me
How could it be?
That the security built must flee
Working long & hard on guard
Just trying to get you to trust me
But you & I remaining we
Is unrealistic
Though idealistic
Its so mystic
How we used to shoot fireworks
Now we're no longer ballistic
This isn't an emotional decision
Just logistics
You're heart is not mine
And I'm not the kind
To waste time
Trying to restore sight to a situation
That's blind
I find
Its much simpler to face facts
Then run from em
And have to retrace tracks
Rather than reign to win
I'll just take my ace back
The position that you hold
Noone can replace that
Nor will my love for you cease
But I know this is the right decision
Due to our condition & position
So i'm at ease
When I grant your release
I wish you nothin but peace
