Ralph Taylor Poet Rhyme

Never Say Never

I thought I'd write another poem,
but really, don't know why!
Cause, I got no inspiration,
but, still I'm gonna try!

I don't know what to write about,
that makes it hard to do!
I might come up with something,
but, it may take a week or two!

It could be something funny!
It could be something sad!
It could be really, really good,
conversely, really bad!

I'm feeling like I lost my touch.
Nothing seems the same!
Writing ain't that easy now,
and I don't know what's to blame!

Before, it wasn't all that hard!
Words, just seemed to flow.
But now, I just can't seem to think!
What's different, I don't know!

I once was happy, writing poems!
I thought it kinda groovy!
But now, it makes me madder than,
a blind man at a silent movie!

But then,  someday it may come back! 
I never will say never!
Then I can fulfill my lifelong dream,
to be - the greatest poet ever!

Honestly, poetry does not flow for me. If it were not for challenges here, I would hardly ever write!! Long time no see, my friend. where have you been??
