Never No Turning Back

Now, you’re too far gone. It’s no use pretending what's been done. I too now, am too far gone. There are no bridges left to burn, it’s best we don't recall. It is such a long way down, far, so far for all to fall. Too much trouble now, no turning back at all. Can you . . . hear me? Can you . . . feel me? Is your smile spreading thin? As the end is rushing in. The day is done, the blinds are drawn, The sounds of afternoon are gone. You, stay and watch the sun fade away, As I drift from the day, out of your way.

To me this one portrays a lover scorned by the other. The poems builds up to that powerful end ... good write :)
