Never Need Anymore

I watched you.
You heard me.
Caressed my heart gently.
Took the pain away,
Unselfishly .
Gave me dignity.
Quenched my soul.
Guided and let me know,
The path I needed to go.
Lifted the mask I was wearing.
Removed the cross I was bearing.
Told the truth without having to swear.
Strummed my heartstrings,
With a gentle hand.
Loved this unworthy beast,
Into a gentle lamb.
Adored who I am.
Gave yourself completely.
What came from you,
I’ll always adore.
With your love,
I’ll never need more.
