Never Me

it's always something, but never me
i'm dying inside, but you can't see
my heart is broken, but you don't feel
feelings are shared, but is it real
everyone's talking, but nothing is heard
everyone's listening, but its only words
so many promises, but never any action
aiming to please, but never satisfaction
living and breathing, but it's not life
your friend, your lady, but never your wife
trying and trying, but it's not fair
you're there physically, but you're not there
all out of words, but writing a letter
letting it all out, but it doesn't get better
trying to be strong, but there's nothing but tears
seems like minutes, but its been years
wishing i was dreaming, but its so real
feelings of hurt, but all wounds heal
its always something, but never me
i'm dying inside, but you can't see.

James Foulk July 29, 2008 at 8:56 PM love it hurts deep when we lose the one we love, but still the tears do come. but the hurt goes away, and a new love comes into our life. this was a heart felt piece you wrote.
