Never May

From the time that we met,
I knew you were something worth everything.
As time unfolded, I didn't know what to expect,
But I saw what could be and believed.

You were everything to me,
we had so much in common that it was a wonder i didn't already know who you are.
But now that we're done,
I'm glad we still talk though despite it all....
I wish you were....still mine.

I may never find anyone who moved me the way you did,
who knew what to say or do to make me smile.
I may never be able to lay in your arms,
feel your warmth against my body.
I may never get to know you more than i already do,
or share laughter and time, just the two of us.

But I loved and relished in every moment i heard you,
read your sweet words, or dreamed of you.
