Never Let Go

Can anything beat
laying in the grass
and counting all the stars we see?
Can anything beat
wrapping up in blankets
with a picnic to eat?
Can anything beat
stealing kisses
while we just enjoy the time?
Can anything
yes anything
ever really beat
what time we have
together, like now?
No nothing can
Nothing could
And all I know is
I wish I could
I wish I could stay here with you tonight
I wish I didn’t have such a long drive
I wish I could simply spend the night
and hold you tight
like I’ll never let go
