Never Is Forever

Never Is Forever

Never is forever
it's the darker side of life.
Like a man lonely forever
that never had a wife.

Or a star that shines so brightly
way high up in the skies.
Forever trapped behind the moon
never catching lovers eyes.

Or sadness in a broken soul
that's now forever blue.
Brought on by ever lonely
and the love it never knew.

Or like water in a river
that runs forever free.
Still some is lost along the way
and never makes it to the sea.

Or teardrops from a happy heart
forever held inside.
Turning cold and bitter
for the tears it never cried.

The emptiness a man can feel
or dreams that don't come true.
The forever breaking aching need
from having never knowing you.

Now never will I know again
the loneliness of forever.
And never must we ever part
forever now together.
