Never Coming Home

I’m at the end of the world, in this war I fight. So many times I've hurled, on my last living night. I’m never coming back, will you miss me? It's time to attack, I wish this wouldn’t be. My loving letter, did you get it? Saying you deserve better, again my hearts been hit. Your face, the last thing I see. Why did I come to this place, all those things I wanted you to do with me. Seeing friends die, I can’t feel your embrace. Wipe away the tears when I start to cry, I miss your grace. As the bullets fly, past my head. I’m dancing on by, cannot believe I’m not dead. As we storm this beach, you’re all I think about. Because you’re not in arms reach, I call another battle shout. Was this worth it in the end, no fame or glore. Seeing another dead friend, all the blood and gore. As our boat takes its leave, I see your tears fall. It's something I can’t believe; did you hear my loving call?
