Never Blameless

Am I but a puppet on a string
left to the commands of a fragile mind
Then what not responsible for anything
least of all the blame be mine

And yet a conscience to be reckoned
ill feelings from somewhere deep below
For that and all I must condescend
full payment for the hell I know

If "I" could bellow the right command
and me be the that follow
Then "I" rightful ere to all of my follies
and owe full payment rightfully so

But still A puppet on a string
I command from a fragile mind
Only now responsible for everything
broken shouldered blame be mine

Surrender to the voices or do "I"
uttered commands of a fragile mind
The responsibility never seems to die
and the blame always seems to be mine
