Never alone

Stand, Talk, and Walk — But Never Alone

I stand alone, or so it may appear,
But I am never truly standing here alone.
For beside me walks my faithful Friend,
Jesus Christ, who calls me His own.
He holds my hand through storm and rain,
Through silent tears and hidden pain,
And when my weary soul grows weak,
His strength is there for me to gain.

You may see me standing quietly,
With no one visibly by my side,
But Heaven’s King stands close beside me,
My refuge, shelter, and faithful guide.
He whispers peace into my spirit,
And calms the fears I cannot hide.
Though earthly friends may come and go,
My Savior never leaves my side.

You see me talking and wonder why,
As though I speak into empty air,
But oh, if only you truly knew,
My precious Jesus is standing there.
He talks with me throughout the day,
In gentle words both sweet and clear,
Reminding me how much I’m loved,
And that His presence is always near.

He tells me stories of grace and mercy,
Of Calvary’s cross and love’s great plan,
How He stretched His arms wide open
To redeem and rescue fallen man.
He speaks life into my discouraged heart,
When burdens feel too much to bear,
And in the quiet of whispered prayer,
I find my Savior waiting there.

Sometimes my lips may softly move
When no one else is around to hear,
But I am speaking with the One
Who has promised to always be near.
The One who knows my every thought,
Every weakness, every care,
The One who listens patiently
To every small and silent prayer.

You see me walking and wonder why
My footsteps seem unevenly laid,
Why I don’t walk like everyone else,
Or follow the worldly masquerade.
It’s because these steps are not my own,
I surrendered my path long ago,
And now I follow where Jesus leads,
Trusting the way He wants me to go.

Sometimes the road is steep and narrow,
Sometimes the night is dark and long,
But I keep walking faithfully onward
Because His presence makes me strong.
When I stumble, He lifts me gently,
When I falter, He takes my hand,
And every step I take in life
Is ordered by His loving command.

I no longer wander without direction,
Nor chase the fleeting things of earth,
For I have found in Christ my Savior
My identity, purpose, and worth.
I walk behind the footsteps of Jesus,
Following where my Master trod,
Learning daily to trust His wisdom
And rest within the heart of God.

So if you see me standing quietly,
Know I do not stand alone.
If you hear me talking softly,
Know my Savior is near His own.
And if my walk looks different from yours,
It’s because I’ve chosen Heaven’s way.
For Jesus walks right beside me
Every moment of every day.

I stand with faith, I talk with hope,
I walk by grace that leads me on.
And through every trial and valley,
I rejoice that I’m never alone.
For the Friend who walks beside me
Will never leave nor let me fall.
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior,
Is my constant companion through it all.
