Never Again

It’s just as if he wants me down In the pit of pain to suffer again Right within me I see him frown Just to scare me to succumb to him again. How could I, peace lose: a great loss When the savior have saved me form shame and pain How could I neglet the rugged cross Where the savior was scourged, smitten and slain. This my heart forever will be God’s And never will I leave it to be tempter’s gain For I have made up my mind and endorsed Heaven as my surest again. In the earth beneath and heaven above My lot will be the king of glory More than what I can buy is unending love And more of him will I see when I appear in his glory.
