Never

Never knew who you were, only knew you weren't there.
Never had the time to talk to me, I guess you didn't care.
Never held me in your arms, never shown me love.
Never told me to do my best, never gave me that extra shove.
Never taught me how to ride that bike, never showed me how to throw a ball.
Never took the time to visit me, guess you were to busy and all.
Never taught me how to be strong, never made me be confident.
Never had any interest in me, being there was never your intent.
Never shown me how to be a man, I guess I was never meant.
Never shown me how to love a woman, never really knew if you did.
Never did do anything for me, just abandoned me as a kid.
Never made me laugh and smile, never made me feel good.
Never wanted to be my father, and I guess I never understood.
