Nemesis
Galloping through a rambled life
With her spirit carried in a saddlebag
Relishing the joy in her new voice
Finally, the master of her own choice
'Let's sing songs and say poems'
We chimed, way back then, huddled in
Our beds, once in need of being friends
Sadly along the way it ends
Rough roads buried our childhood pleasures
Excited now to share new found treasures
Until she reminds that I could have,
Should have, done better
Subtle messages of what lacks or the things
I should need, I fall down to skin my knees
She'll stand amused to watch me bleed
Then leave me alone to live my own dream
