Negative Zombies
Bloodthirsty,
Brain eating zombies,
In movies,
And on TV.
Is it a metaphor?
For how resentful people can be?
When they watch someone else succeed?
How we’re taught to pull each other down.
How we say,
why not me?
A bad habit of helping each other drown,
In the waters of negativity,
Suppressing the air of positivity,
And dreams.
Brain eating zombies trying,
To eat minds of positivity.
Their minds plagued,
with the disease of negativity.
Life has turned into an episode of survivor,
Or big brother,
Scheming and manipulating one another.
What’s happened to community?
What’s happened to solidarity?
What happened to helping each other,
To a life of prosperity?
What happened to empathy?
Compassion and caring?
What’s up with the mindset of humanity?
We’ve become daringly unsparing.
Glaring, gnawing, feasting and feeding,
On the negative addictive’s.
What kind of pandemic are we facing?
Annoyed by positive vibes,
With smiles we’re faking.
Who has the antidote for this disease?
We’re all just trying to do the same thing.
Raise our families,
Live a life that’s happy,
And follow our dreams.
My fear is that its spreading so fast.
Soon their will be nothing left, for them to eat.
Is positivity going to be obsolete?
