Needs

On the outside looking in wanting to be more than just a friend
Still it seems that the one I love has chosen to take a dead end
Bound and yet stifled by the screams and pain of the past
What I want is more of a need it’s a love that's of truth and will last
Down a road of deceit and facade for an agenda of greed no surprise
Confrontation is a waste of time as she continues to spew forth her lies
I already know this is not what I need as the curtain on the act descends
Since I’ve aired her dirty laundry and confronted her with her sin
What she needs is to stop and think sometimes and gain perspective
And I on the other hand need to let her go stop being misdirected
The time is now to make my way towards a brighter better tomorrow
Stop living this lie of what’s good in her heart and reaping only sorrow
It’s like learning to walk one step at a time let the healing start to begin
Needs are intrinsic for us all and sadly enough I need to tell you the end.
