Needless Subterfuge

social etiquette 
game of pretence 
the words we state
decried by innocence 

emotions concealed
betrayed by tremor
our fears revealed 
as desires mirror

ego subterfuge
our identity crisis
taking in love refuge
births boundless bliss

causation of suffering
anticipating outcome
in stupor stagnating
denying us freedom

thought cessation
negating lower mind
flowing joy orientation 
frees us from ego bind

earth life playful parlance 
in a sea of tranquil calm 
when nestled in silence
love the healing balm
