Needing a Jump

No matter how hard this woman tried her pain she couldn't hide
For it had never left her side as everything else around her died
And no matter what she would do or new path that she would try
Nothing to her had ever felt true and her whole life seemed a lie

She never wanted for anything always an answer for every need
I guess you might say she knew bling but not the Apostle's Creed
And over so many long years, nothing, nor would she ever change
All those bottled up tears, to open that up just wasn't in her range

But then came that show with Mother Angelica a dear blessed soul
Telling her what she didn't know that she wasn't her to play a role
Of the special purpose He had just for her so to share in His Glory
As something inside began to stir so intently listening to her story

That was then and this being now, for if you had known this girl Jen
You could only say wow she's certainly not the girl I knew back then
For today she wears a smile on her face and has such joy in her heart
Maybe you too need just such a special Grace for your own life to start

ETWN's Mother Angelica has taught me so much by touching my heart.
One of God's loving servants who is so wise in His Spirit.
YouTube her. "Excuses" is a good one!
