Nature's Worst

emulating time
the tick tock of the rain drops…
mud slide devours

Everyone seems to be in such a rush these days. I don't know why? If only we could tame the flooding down to a drizzle, the world would be a calmer place... This haiku creates quite a dramatic image in my mind's eye... Really good writing, my friend! Hope you are doing well :)

Hi Harry, my poetry and Yorkshire friend, who knows, perhaps we are even related , Hunt my Maiden surname, powerful 3 lines - intense amount of rain drops happening over a length of time spells disaster, 'mud slide devours' - superb Haiku - hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Hi Harry. It’s March and California having flooding. This is weeks of rain and no dams built to catch all the water. Our governor is far from bright. I hope you are on the mend. Prayers for you, Panagiota

Yes mudslides and avalanches are just waiting to happen. Terrific idea for a poem Harry and so well executed. Sorry its late to comment, I am spending tonight catching up on all I missed. This one is a favorite.

Well-crafted haiku, Harry. You conveyed an impactful picture. I've seen it on social media quite a few times.
