Nature's Music

From the town Of no sound I walk upon a hill. In the night With amazing sight The town was quite still. What is this that I hear somewhere in the trees? An owl’s hoot, a cricket’s chirp and grass shifting beneath my feet. The moon was shining down on me As I clapped and danced to the tune The fireflies, in a wavy line With me, had begun to move. What is this? After all that fun, every sound stopped The owl’s hoots, the cricket’s chirp, oh no look at the clock! From the town Of no sound I walk down a hill. In the night With amazing sight The town was still quite still.
