Notes About The Poem

Nature's Messages

*A painting of Mt. Chocorua in New Hampshire. I don't know why it is blurry, when uploaded....

The comfort of mountains, peaceful water at twilight
Brings resolution to the end of the day
The clouds pile up and have their final say
Powerful language in sky before night

Calm water welcomes the messages sent
The glimmer of sun says goodbye for now
Nature has a way of speaking somehow
As we listen, cherishing time spent

Our feelings can be altered, just by sight
Watching the colorful changes take place
Once it is dark, they’ll be without a trace
Until we wake in the face of daylight

This creation of movement and stillness too
Sounds breaking quietness can lead the way
There are so many scenes within a day
To bring the gift of smiles when feeling blue

Nature does speak both in your painting and in your poem, Heidi. Splendid hues you created in enclosed rhymes.
