Nature's Inspiration

I'm a part time poet inspired by nature's themes
Dulcet melodies of birds as they sing
Bring verses to page and make them gleam
With rhymes that bloom with the flowers of spring

A butterfly flutters and my ink starts to flow
The whispering wind as the leaves dance and sway
Each flower is hued in the lines I show
Each season inspires in its own way

The colors of sunset in all their splendor
And words begin dancing on my page
The passion of love and its sweet surrender
And syllables tango to set the stage
Being a part time poet is lots of fun
That's all for now, I've got to run!

Nature's beauty is always an inspiration to write poetry about. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem by you, it was a perfect depiction of why we write about it.

Well written Joseph, I think many on here fall into that bracket. If only we had more time. Tom
