Nature's Dance

Red ball of fire at the edge of the sky Sinking slowly as its light begins to die Birds and animals seek shelter in your fading light Hiding from the cold and fearsome night Delicate flowers close and fold Hiding colors long extolled Stars drift across the darkness Giving a beauty to the world’s bleak starkness Morning comes and the fire ball rises Lives and colors return in all their many guises Such is the cycle of night and day Nature’s dance, an eternal ballet
