Dear Connie, I always love a great Haiku, especially about swans, the splash, the boy catching two worlds at once. You keep it simple in the best way. A small pause by the water that stays with me longer than I expect. Blessings, Daniel

Daniel, thank you for the cup of tea. The picture I created reads both ways-the contrast between line 1, splish splash (wild), and line 2, white sails (elegant), and the swan's reflection in the lake--which prompts the boy to see double--nature's beauty and reflection (hence the title). In line 1, I wrestled for a while and came up with the adjective lake-side, which condensed the line perfectly.
