Nature In Rapture

I

the fallen, brown, dead and decaying;
covering mats nature’s mother been laying
arteries swollen by spring’s overflow
will funnel life to all that must grow

flowers in hues of reds, whites and blues
articulate how do you do
brilliant tones too many to mention
bring beauty to this glory convention

beasts creatures small creepy crawlers
flyers swimmers and the brawlers
find refuge rebirth among welcoming flora
flourish directed by nature’s natural aurora

II

squirrels searching explore dead fallen leaves
butterflies gracefully flit in the breeze
bluebirds a thrush and a brown pudgy dove
scout housing in leafy branches above

the fallen brown dead and decaying
covering mats nature’s been laying
rivers refreshed with spring’s overflow
funnel life to all that grow

many the wonders in this earthly garden
spring is release nature’s annual pardon
free was I to flee urban capture
finding nature in rapture

III

a snake sleek and slender glistening green
basks in the sunshine secluded not seen
bugs frogs and salamanders too
seek shelter safe haven under privies of blue

sky cloud trees entwine
grass flowers and vine
flora and fauna
in nature’s combine

Eostre proclaims announces this day
life’s rebirth from nature’s decay
the words of poets frame for display
wonders depicted in nature's Monet
