Nature at night

Have you ever heard
The song of the moon?
The soft soothing melody
That can make you swoon;

Have you ever seen
The dance of the butterflies?
As they move to each flower
Their eyes only on the prize;

Have you ever smelt
The sweetness of fresh grass?
That assaults your senses -
A feeling nothing can surpass;

Have you ever thought
That in the middle of the night
Is when nature's at its best -
That it makes the world right?

Have you ever felt
How it would be
To be with a loved one
Amidst nature's beauty?

That's where I wish to be, with you -
In the middle of the night
When the butterflies dance
To the moon's song - till daylight.
