Narcissists

I must tell you, I find the narcissistic personality Somewhat disgusting -- The type who loves Only him/herself, you see, On the inside never adjusting, Who obviously think They are superior to the nth degree, Fame and fortune lusting. Loving to see their name in print They seize opportunities To say, “Look at me!” I suspect they are secretly rusting! Written May 19, 2022

Yes, I think that's true, Mark. Still, I don't deal well (and we recently did) with people who are self-absorbed and who relish bullying others. Thanks for the visit, my friend.

C'mon now Milton....aren't we all, at some time in our life, a bit narcissistic? Seeking a bit of attention or recognition?

Ah, c'mon John...there's far more to a narcissistic personality than "seeing a bit of attention or recognition" now and then. We have some fine examples here on the soup but, of course, I'm not going to point them out. Need I? Hey, thanks for your thought-provoking comment, John.

"They seize opportunities To say, “Look at me!”" - I feel sorry for them, I feel like they missed something joyous in life.

Yes, they do, and yes, they are to be pitied, for they are missing so much that others have to offer.

You know my thoughts on this. They mirror your own. Those who are the neediest are usually the ones who need the spotlight. It's all static electricity.

Indeed, Jenna. Thanks for the read and the comment. I think we are pretty much in agreement on lots of things, as far as I can tell.

Nice Milton, attention seekers only want the world to revolve around themselves, and everyone singing to their tune, and very rarely change, but your right they rust alive from the inside out, cheers David

I think so, David. Thanks so much for your thoughts on the subject. Deep down inside I feel sorry for these folks who are so self-absorbed. They are missing so much in life.

Not a thought for anyone else but themselves, I steer clear of them big time. Tom

Thanks, Tom. I have learned the hard way, but I, too, give them a wide berth.
